Wedding Update/Clemson Basketball/Back to Work

Apparently I'm writing like Mickey Plyler now.... lots of different topics :)

Wedding update
David and I are busily getting things in place for the wedding. Well, I must say our parents are really helping out. I told David and his family today that I didn't know what I would do without my mom. Wow, she's so great at this! I am really good at contacting people, finding out information, talking to whoever I need to talk to, getting ideas, and so forth. When it comes to organization and keeping everything straight, though, no way! That has always been a bit of a weak point for me. Fortunately I am getting better. I'm not there yet, but I'm seeing little steps to improvement. Anyway, back to my mom. She has got it down to a science- all the information is in a notebook with dividers. This is my wedding "bible." This thing has every phone number, address, name, date, and time that I need. My mom even has a list of what we need to be workin on now. Thanks mom! I would be completely overwhelmed without you! David's parents are great, too! His mom is working on the rehearsal dinner, getting addresses for me, and helping in any way she can! His dad is working on a photo project for us that I can't wait to see! Next on my list-- PICK OUT MUSIC!!!

Clemson Basketball
All I can say is I hope that the bottom doesn't fall out of this basketball season because this is just too much fun! Now, me being a fairly rational, reasonable person, I realize that Clemson will not go undefeated the whole year. What I hope for is a good season- one where a loss doesn't mean the team just folds and gives up. I would love to see the tigers go far into the NCAA tournament. I really do think this is a special group of guys- here's hoping they can prove it on the court against Wake next Saturday. By the way, it's looking like David and I will be able to go!!

Back to Work
Many people will want to hit me over the head with a blunt object when I say this, but I tell you the truth, having two weeks off from work at Christmas time is a blessing and a curse all at once. It is a blessing for the obvious reasons- rest, re-energizing, time with family and friends, fun, and so on. It is a curse because it is so extremely hard to get back into the flow of things again when it is over. Bad habits like going to bed at 3 am and getting up at 11:30 am start to emerge. The early morning sure hits hard that first day back to work. But believe me, my 4 year old's that I teach demand that I be on my toes starting the minute they walk in the door! All that being said, I was a little sluggish and tired this week. It was a bit difficult to get focused on my task sometimes. The good part is I know it only get easier from here. I'll get back in the swing of things and get going strong! There's always lots to do. Prayers are appreciated!

That's my life in a nut shell :) God bless!
